A Little Sad

A few things recently have made me a little bit sad over the weekend.

Through a thoughtless oversight I managed to upset a friend ... actually of all the things this one made me most sad :(

For various reasons myself and my partner are opting for a civil partnership. I know this is a divisive issue within the Church, and I know that the official view is that it is not to be considered the same as a marriage. From my view this is a little saddening. But I am happy with our choice, and God will still be my witness to my life long commitment to Clare when we are able to have our happy day.

And finally I am a little sad that it is not possible to attend Church in person. This one I know affects some much more than others, and it is just an unfortunate unfolding of events that has led to this. In the meantime I do remotely attend a local service, which unfortunately is view only. So the sadness comes from not being there as I have not yet met the congregation that I will become part of, that I have not yet met our vicar.
